The Dreaded Second Semester…

Elementary has started their annual I ♥ to Read Month! The theme for this year is “Climb Into a Book and Read!” as you can see in the pictures below. On Tuesday, they had D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) which is always a ton of fun! On Wednesday, they spent the afternoon drawing huge murals to hang on the walls. Today, we had Rangers and Rookies (Buddy Reading), which was a lot of fun. On Monday they will be having Guest Readers, so if you would like to come out and read to a class, please contact the office.

High School has begun a new semester. Most kids aren’t very happy about their new classes. I (Colin) myself am overjoyed with the courses I have, but I am a nerd, so that is expected . We would like to welcome back one of our Grade 12 students who was gone for the first semester to Louis Riel, Justin Bakker.

There have been many basketball games and tournaments this week. Today and tomorrow the JV Guys have a tournament here in our school. We encourage everyone to come out here and give our team a cheer!
